About the blog:

The blog I’m writing is about Narsil and Anduril. I’m trying to focus on the history of Narsil and Lord of the Rings and the story’s author. This blog does not talk about the story in detail. It talks only about how the idea and story began in the mind of Mr. J.R.R.

Tolkien then briefly I will talk about how he wrote this whole story with his fictional & fantasy mind and characters who used the Narsil and Anduril. The difference between Narsil and Anduril. Why the Anduril Flame of the West Reforged Shards of the Narsil is so famous and what is the relationship between Aragorn and Anduril?

Subsequently, he pursued his studies at Exeter College, Oxford, concentrating on classics as well as English language and literature.
In the course of World War I, Tolkien fulfilled the role of a second lieutenant in the British Army.. He fought in the Battle of the Somme, one of the deadliest battles of the war, and the experience deeply affected him.

These wartime experiences would leave a lasting imprint on his writing, particularly in his descriptions of war and the theme of loss in his works.

After the war, Tolkien returned to his academic pursuits. He embarked on a distinguished career as a professor and scholar, specializing in languages and literature. Tolkien’s scholarly work focused primarily on Old English literature, specifically Beowulf and other Old English poems.

He also contributed significantly to the field of philology, the study of language, and its historical development. His expertise in languages enabled him to create intricate and fully-realized constructed languages, such as Elvish languages (Quenya and Sindarin), which feature prominently in his fictional works.

He created a rich and complex imaginary world called Middle-earth, where his stories take place. He invented languages, histories, cultures, maps, and characters for this world, drawing on his knowledge of mythology, folklore, and ancient literature.

He also wrote poems, essays, translations, and other works related to Middle earth, some of which were published after his death by his son Christopher. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential authors of the 20th century and the father of modern fantasy literature.

Brief story of the Narsil:

Narsil from “Lord of the Ring” was the main sword and weapon in the story. A longsword forged by the Dwarven smith Telchar of Nogrod in the First Age.

Dúnedain during the War of the Last Alliance against Sauron at the end of the Second Age. In the final battle, Elendil and Gil-galad confronted Sauron himself, but they were both slain and Narsil broke into two pieces under Elendil’s body. Isildur, Elendil’s son, took up the shard of Narsil and cut off Sauron’s finger with the One Ring, defeating him. Isildur kept the shards of Narsil as an heirloom, but he was killed by Orcs in the Disaster of the Gladden Fields.

His squire Other managed to escape with the shards and brought them to Rivendell, where they were passed to Isildur’s son Valandil, who became the first King of Arnor. The shards of Narsil remained in Rivendell for over three thousand years, until they were reforged into Andúril for Aragorn, Isildur’s heir, during the War of the Ring. Andúril means “Flame of the West” in Quenya, referring to Númenor.

Elrond comes to Aragorn and tells him about the war and the armies of Sauron. The problem that Aragorn pointed out was that there were no armies to fight against Sauron’s forces.

Elrond says there are those who dwell in the mountain. Aragorn flashes back to those who dwell in the mountain, the murderers and traitors, then Aragorn explains his fear of murderers and traitors that they will believe in nothing. And here is that scene when Elrond tells him they will answer to the king of Gondor. Then gives the Anduril to Aragorn naming it “Anduril the Flame of the West Reforged Shards of the Narsil”.

Aragorn carried Andúril as a sign of his claim to the throne of Gondor and used it to fight against Sauron’s forces. Andúril was passed down to Aragorn’s descendants, who ruled as High Kings of the Reunited Kingdom.

Aragorn and Anduril’s Journey and Reason for being
famous:

Aragorn carried Andúril throughout his journey and used it in many battles against Sauron’s forces.

He also showed it to some people as proof of his identity and his claim to the throne.

For example, he revealed it to Éomer, a lord of Rohan; to Boromir’s father Denethor, the steward of Gondor; and to the Army of the Dead, whom he summoned to fight for him.

Andúril was also recognized by some enemies, such as Saruman and the Mouth of Sauron. Andúril was instrumental in fulfilling an ancient prophecy that said that Isildur’s heir would return to Gondor and reclaim his crown.

Aragorn used it to heal some wounded people with his royal touch, such as Faramir, Éowyn, and Merry.

He also used it to lead his army to victory at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and the Battle of the Morannon. After Sauron was finally defeated by Frodo’s destruction of the ring, Aragorn was crowned as King Elessar with Andúril at his side.

Difference Between Narsil and Anduril & How Narsil
Converted into Anduril:

Narsil was a longsword forged by a Dwarven smith in the First Age. It was a symbol of the Sun and the Moon and belonged to the royal house of Númenor.

It was broken when King Elendil fought Sauron in the War of the Last Alliance, and his son Isildur used its shards to cut off the One Ring from Sauron’s hand.

The shards of Narsil were kept as an heirloom by the heirs of Isildur in Rivendell. Andúril was the name given to Narsil after it was reforged by the Elves in Rivendell for Aragorn, Elrond calls it “Andúril The Flame of the West Reforged shards of Narsil”, the heir of Isildur, during the War of the Ring.

Why it is Called Anduril “Flame of the West” Reforged

My Views on Anduril and Aragorn:

Blogging is about researching, observing, reading, then analyzing and finally bringing that analysis into blog form.

All the observation, research, and analysis I have done is mentioned above but I also add feelings and emotions in my blog along with all these things.

These things help create the right impression about the product and make the product truly imaginable and visible to your eyes. Therefore, my attempt is to describe the dimensions of this sword along with its structure and the senses that I felt using the sword

The handle of Anduril Narsil starts from alloy steel. The alloy steel handle is shaped in such a way that it forms a 180° rounded triangular structure inside which the same design of brass is fitted.

The rounded triangular shape made of alloy steel and the rounded triangular brass fitted in it gives it a royal look.

The handle made of alloy steel and brass is 5” long and then begins the part of the handle made of alloy steel is wrapped in leather. This leather-wrapped part of the handle is also 5” in length.

The unique feature of this part of the handle is that it is shaped like the tips of the fingers. When holding the leather-wrapped part, you feel that the sword adjusts itself in your hand and secures its place in your hand. You can grip the sword with one hand or with both hands.

Then the two hands protruding right and left in the shape of a full handle made of alloy steel are reminiscent of the king’s open arms when the king opens his arms to show victory and joy after winning a battle and conquering territory. Next comes the blade of the sword which is made of stainless steel and laser etched

The blade of the sword is 42 inches long and the handle is 10 inches long. Thus, this sword is a full 52 inches long and displays its beauty and craftsmanship with its full power.

Along with this sword is its scabbard in which the sword is kept. And the plaque made of wood showing its kingship gives it royal style and display. Belting this sword and standing up also has its own style. If you see Aragorn belting this sword, you will realize that this sword is worn only by leaders and warriors.

When you stand and have your hand on the Anduril’s rounded triangular-shaped handle, you will look like a leader and the owner of an Anduril and feel the kingship.

The beauty of this sword is that it makes you feel everything that King Aragorn felt about it. I would say that to buy and use this sword you must have a passion for kingdom and leadership qualities. Only then can you truly do justice to the sword
